Friends of the APEC Euromed

The Association of European Journalists of Catalonia ([APEC]) in this communication new era through the Network with his partners and, general with the society, he wants to take in in his website in the out-of-the-way Friends EuroMediterranean [de] [l]['][APEC], opinions of journalists of both shores of the Mediterranean one, interested in this process that was born in the Barcelona city the year 1995.

Barcelona has a clear vocation of being the capital of the Mediterranean one. The held in EuroMediterranean Summit Paris on 13 July 2008, within the framework of the French presidency of the Council of the EU, constituted a decisive step towards the consolidation of Barcelona Process that had been born in City Of Barcelona, the year 1995. The Statement of Paris goes to sit bases for the operation of the Union for the Mediterranean one, in the Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs held in Marseille on 3 and 4 November of 2008.

Barcelona is the headquarters of the Union's Office for the Mediterranean one that a technical nature premiership has. The Office will drive the tracking and a series of projects' management as; the decontamination of the Mediterranean one, the [autopistas] land and maritime, the civil defence, alternative energies and the elaboration of a Solar Plano Mediterranean, the creation of the EuroMediterranean University and the business development of the region.

In this process [hi] participate a total of 43 European countries and Mediterranean: 27 member states of the European Union, in addition to Albania, Algeria, Bosnia, Croatia, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Mauritania, Monaco, Montenegro, the Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey.

One of the important actors of this Process of the Union for the Mediterranean one are journalists that, doing an absolutely professional work, contribute in communicating a political Process, economic, cultural and social that contains some freedom values, solidarity, coexistence, pau, fair and sustainable economic growth for the Mediterranean one. For this reason, will publish opinions of journalists and communicators that contribute in strengthening the European public opinion.
